About Me

As a content strategist, my work is founded on a lifetime of diverse experiences and professional expertise as both a seasoned filmmaker and program manager. At my core, I am a storyteller packed with professional skills that allow me to approach my work in a holistic way. From conceptualization to planning and execution, I combine creative big-picture thinking and human-centered philosophy with hands on production skills to ensure quality and efficacy in my work. I am passionate about people and delight in getting to know my target audiences’ needs in order to align broader communication goals in the most impactful, cohesive and compelling way. I love to keep my hands busy as an independent contributor but I thrive most as a leader in a collaborative team environment.

As an award winning documentary filmmaker, and an insatiably curious person, I seek to bring communities of people together by telling poignant stories in an entertaining and visually compelling way. With a strong focus on ethical filmmaking, I strive to share stories that challenge our “understanding” of the world around us. For over 13 years, I have worked for independent filmmakers as well as Lucasfilm, National Geographic Explorer, PBS and other small and corporate companies. My feature length documentary From Baghdad to The Bay won six awards including the Jury Award for Best Documentary at Cinequest and Best Film, Programmer’s Award for Excellence at OUTshine Miami.

As a program/project manager and certified Scrum Master, I choreograph and orchestrate complex and multi-faceted projects. I am able to communicate at all levels, schedule, plan, deliver, and execute project and program plans that people can understand. Having worked for companies like StubHub and Square I am experienced at managing projects from alpha to beta to launch and a proactive problem solver with an intrinsic ability to see the big picture. Being both a creative and technical person, my management style is focused on empathy, establishing realistic goals and providing clear cross-team/company-wide communication to facilitate individual and team efficiency, success, and positive moral.

But who am I really?

I learned how to ride a motorcycle on a 2K mile solo cross country road trip. I’ve traveled to seven countries so far and visited 32 of the 61 National Parks I plan to visit, inspired by my wonderful husband Suneel. I have officiated four weddings & jumped out of an airplane. In my early years, attempting to find my path, I was a lifeguard and aqua aerobics instructor, bartender, landscape gardener and dance instructor. When I was in my early 20s I was a member of the Middle Eastern dance troupe Shaken Not Stirred. I lived in Spain while studying Flamenco dance and how to play the cajón. My alter ego is a neuroscientist moonlighting as a performance lighting designer! I am a master packer. I love the podcasts: Hidden Brain, RadioLab, The Moth and This American Life. I long to be a runner again…maybe I’ll pick it up this year…

Erin is exceptional at bringing order to chaos and leading through influence… Most of all she’s a phenomenal human being and a pleasure to work with!

Abi Muthu Eckstein, Chief of Staff, CPO | Lyft

What differentiates Erin from the others are her attention to detail and her striving for excellence in everything she endeavors… Basically with Erin on your team, you’ll feel like you have a superpower.

Oliver Oxenham, Interview Engineer | Karat

Erin is a tour-de-force. Not only is she fantastically creative, she is able to manage projects from brief to final output pretty much single-handedly. She makes things happen and is proactive, professional and ruggedly determined and passionate about delivering high quality content that is always on brand and on brief.

Deena Brown, Strategic Brand Manager | Westmill
